Job summary

Lennox AES Division in Tallassee, AL is seeking a Group Leader in the Drop Box department to guide a production team, enforce safety, and drive efficiency. The role emphasizes meeting output targets, coaching staff, and maintaining quality in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation. We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer. These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors. Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide. AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead time.

What Drives Success

A Group Leader in the Drop Box department for Lennox AES at our Tallassee, AL location is a frontline leader responsible for leading and coordinating a team of production workers. They play a key role in achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a culture of safety and efficiency within the team and facility.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Help enforce safety protocols and guidelines to create a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Provide training to team members on production processes, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Operate assigned machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Supervise, coach, and lead a team of production workers.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to maximize team performance.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating daily production schedules to meet output targets.
  • Monitor and adjust workflow to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
  • Communicate production goals, targets, and expectations to the team.
  • Address and resolve production-related issues promptly.
  • Act as a liaison between production workers and higher management, conveying feedback and concerns.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team and individual performance.

Compensation

This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $26.00/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
