Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Group Leader for its Plastics Operations in Normal, IL. The role focuses on directing teams, driving production milestones, and providing leadership and motivation across shifts.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in high-volume manufacturing with leadership experience and solid plastics/auto processes knowledge. The position is onsite with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in a high-volume Plastics Manufacturing or automated process environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Technicians, Team Leaders, and Team Members.
• Train, develop, teach, and evaluate employees.
• Coordinate with production managers on schedules and support.
• Perform and teach all processes within the department; fill in as needed.
• Support pilot programs and change activities.
• Monitor and control capital and expense spending.
• Determine team activity including hiring, firing, performance, wage, and salary reviews.
• Plan body shop team agenda and ensure performance scheduling.
• Collaborate with Sr. leadership to identify improvements for operational excellence.
