Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Group Leader for the AGV Maintenance & Continuous Improvement team in Normal, IL. You will manage a cross‑functional shift of technicians, coach staff, and drive daily repairs, preventive maintenance, fabrication, and lean flow to minimize downtime while upholding safety and quality.

This role emphasizes leadership, hands‑on support, and partnership with engineers and operations. You will monitor workloads, troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical, and software domains,

Qualifications

• Maintenance and repair experience in manufacturing or automated environments.
• Experience with AGV/AMR or automated material handling systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical, controls, sensors and software.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of CAD, Microsoft and Google programs.
• Experience with Lean Flow, Fabrication, Repair and PIV processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of shift team leads, technicians, and members.
• Onboard and develop technicians; conduct performance evaluations.
• Lead AGV, repair, fabrication, lean flow and PIV activities; ensure safety and quality.
• Prioritize workloads based on safety, production impact, and equipment health.
