Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Portage, MI is seeking a full-time laboratory coordinator with a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related field and at least 4 years of laboratory experience to coordinate workflow and monitor daily turnaround time.

You will conduct semi-annual performance reviews, train staff, lead investigations, troubleshoot instrument and method issues, and support LEAN initiatives while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related degree concentration (required)
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship (required)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
• Conduct semi-annual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, evaluate succession plans in preparation for growth
• Perform work for both routine and non-routine work as specified by separate and applicable technical job description for individual
• Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
• Troubleshoot and solve both instrumental and method issues
• Lead and write investigations independently, establish root cause and robust CAPA
• Support and drive LEAN initiatives and operational improvements
• Perform all functions in support of and in compliance with all state and federal employment regulations

Additional Information

Position is full-time, first shift position Monday - Friday, 8:0am - 5:00pm.
