Job summary

STR seeks a Group Lead to assemble and grow a high-impact team for advanced test and evaluation challenges in the national security domain. You will stand up a thriving P&L organization and expand capabilities across classified test programs, delivering fast, decision-quality results for the DoD.

The role requires managing an elite technical team, driving proposal capture, and maintaining rigorous security with FAR, SAP/SAR, and SCI.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance required and fully adjudicated.
• Proven track record in leading technically skilled teams.
• Experience translating threats into long-term tech roadmaps.
• Strong program management and multi-million dollar budgets.
• Able to secure and work in highly classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead elite R&D teams of scientists, researchers, and engineers.
• Drive proposal capture for BAAs/RFPs and build customer relationships.
• Manage full group P&L, budgets, schedules, and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with FAR regulations and secure workflows (SAP/SAR, SCI).
• Mentor and develop career progression for direct reports.
• Overnight travel as required.
