Job summary

STR's Mission Applications Group within the AC2 Division seeks a Lead Program Manager to lead a portfolio of operational prototype programs for national security customers. You will guide programs from marketing and proposal development through contract initiation, execution, and close-out, while enabling successful transitions to operations.

Qualifications

• Program Management experience within DoD/IC or similar defense environment.
• Experience managing technical projects and tracking risks.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain/maintain security clearance (Secret or Top Secret, SCI eligibility).
• Located near STR offices in Carlsbad, Arlington, Woburn, or Denver.

Responsibilities

• Identify mission requirements with government customers and prioritize development.
• Track program schedule and milestones with STR business operations and customers.
• Ensure timely deliveries and coordinate across multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Work with product managers and mission engineers to address risks.
• Gather and synthesize data from reports and feedback to communicate status.
• Build strong customer relationships and maintain open communication.
