Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in a group home setting on Saturdays and Sundays.

You will help with daily living tasks, housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, transportation to appointments, and documentation in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic housekeeping knowledge.
• Basic nutrition knowledge.
• Safety protocols familiarity and readiness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and in the community where the individual lives.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize the client’s schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health record (EHR).
