Job summary

Easterseals Rehabilitation Center- Evansville, IN is seeking a Group Home Assistant Manager to support eight group homes, supervise direct care staff, and assist with administration. You will help ensure high-quality personal and medical care within a safe, compassionate environment.

You will also coordinate activities, outings, and after-hours coverage, working closely with clinicians and the leadership team to maintain smooth daily operations and strong resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or a related degree/certificate.
• Strong leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding care to clients by assisting with personal care, medical care, and daily living skills.
• Develop relationships with Direct Care Staff and support staff retention strategies.
• Assist Group Home Manager with administrative duties including financial statements and equipment maintenance.
• Plan and participate in client activities and community outings.
• Be available for after-hours support and call-ins.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Provide outstanding care to all clients by assisting with personal care, medical care, and daily living skills.
• Develop meaningful relationships with all Direct Care Staff and build retention strategies to support staff members.
• Support Group Home Manager by participating in Group Home administration duties, such as assisting with financial statements, maintaining medical equipment, and assisting with client doctor appointments.
• Have fun planning and participating in our client's favorite activities and going on outings in the community!
• Maintain availability to assist with after-hours support and call-ins.

Additionally, you will support both our clients by providing direct care, including assisting with personal hygiene and hands-on care, and our direct care staff by assisting with the day-to-day operations within the group home. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO EASTERSEALS:

• Experience: Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities or a degree or certificate in a related field.
