Job summary

Easterseals Rehabilitation Center- Evansville, IN is seeking a Group Home Assistant Manager to support eight group homes. You will work closely with the Group Home Manager to ensure compassionate care, safety, and quality of life for clients.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, medical tasks, daily living skills, and coordinating with direct care staff. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and community activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities or a related degree/certificate.
• Strong leadership and team orientation.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Availability for after-hours support.

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Provide outstanding care to all clients by assisting with personal care, medical care, and daily living skills.
• Develop meaningful relationships with all Direct Care Staff and build retention strategies to support staff members.
• Support Group Home Manager by participating in Group Home administration duties, such as assisting with financial statements, maintaining medical equipment, and assisting with client doctor appointments.
• Have fun planning and participating in our client's favorite activities and going on outings in the community!
• Maintain availability to assist with after-hours support and call-ins.

Additionally, you will support both our clients by providing direct care, including assisting with personal hygiene and hands-on care, and our direct care staff by assisting with the day-to-day operations within the group home.
