Job summary

Easterseals Rehabilitation Center- Evansville, IN is seeking a Direct Support Professional/Caregiver to join our eight group homes dedicated to providing safe, loving care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will build authentic relationships and support clients in daily activities and community outings.

Paid training is provided; no experience is required. The role emphasizes organization, reliability, and teamwork, with opportunities to grow into leadership

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Paid training provided; no prior experience necessary.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Organized, reliable and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, including assisting with personal hygiene and hands-on tasks.
• Develop authentic relationships with clients and foster a family-like environment.
• Support client goals to promote confidence and independence.
• Engage clients in activities and community outings.
• Monitor client progress and document outcomes.
