Job summary

Admiral Group is seeking a Group Head of Model Validation to lead the independent validation of the Group's critical models, shaping governance and risk oversight at the highest level. You will guide validation strategy and coordinate across Risk, Actuarial, Finance, Investments, Data Science and Technology to ensure robust challenge and regulatory confidence.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary or equivalent senior quantitative professional with general insurance experience.
• Extensive experience in internal model validation and model risk management.
• Strong understanding of internal models and validation methodologies.
• Knowledge of Solvency II and PRA internal model expectations.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative topics to boards and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent validation of the Group's critical models.
• Provide senior independent oversight of Model Risk Management across the Group.
• Set strategic direction and operating model for Group Internal Model Validation.
• Deliver a risk-based, multi-year validation plan aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Escalate material model limitations and ensure governance oversight.
• Engage with regulators, auditors and external validation stakeholders.
