Job summary

Aviva seeks an AI Model Risk & Governance Lead to challenge and oversee complex models across pricing, reserving and customer analytics. You will join Group Model Validation to provide independent validation and risk oversight of advanced analytics, machine learning and AI implementations.

The role requires deep quantitative experience, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to drive governance and regulatory compliance in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in model validation or model risk management.
• Strong knowledge of analytics, ML and AI models with independent challenge.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative methods to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience building relationships across risk, analytics, technology and business functions.
• Qualified actuary or equivalent quantitative professional experience; knowledge of UK Solvency helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight across a broad range of models.
• Lead validation and review of advanced analytics and AI models (pricing, reserving, segmentation).
• Collaborate with model owners and senior stakeholders to ensure governance and regulatory compliance.
• Develop validation tools and methodologies to strengthen oversight of emerging analytics and AI.
