Job summary

Admiral Group plc is seeking a Group Head of Model Validation to lead the Group's independent Internal Model Validation function and provide senior oversight of Model Risk Management across the Group. You will work with Risk, Actuarial, Finance, Investments, Pricing, Data Science and Technology to assess model design, calibration and governance, and to influence capital initiatives, stress testing and regulatory confidence.

The role requires clear reporting to Boards and governance committees.

Qualifications

• A qualified actuary or equivalent senior quantitative professional with experience in general insurance.
• Extensive experience in internal model validation, capital modelling, or model risk management.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to boards and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Internal Model Validation function, setting its strategic direction and culture.
• Deliver a risk-based, multi-year validation plan aligned with regulatory requirements and business priorities.
• Provide independent assurance over the Group's partial internal model and escalate findings as needed.
• Report to Boards, executives and governance committees and support capital initiatives and governance.
