Job summary

YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Level I Group Exercise Instructor to lead both land and water classes at Wade Walker Family YMCA. You will select appropriate music, set up and breakdown sessions, and educate participants on wellness principles and THE COACH APPROACH®.

The role requires coordination with the Wellness Director and adherence to YMCA safety policies. Qualifications include a High school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and certification in YMCA/ACE or equivalent within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must log class attendance in GroupEx PRO and check for facility updates.
• Must pass criminal background and drug screening.
• CPR/AED certification required and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily program tasks related to group exercise.
• Promote, monitor, evaluate, and ensure classes run smoothly with high service.
• Maintain CPR/AED and other required certifications and continuing education.
• Log attendance and check GroupEx PRO regularly and secure substitutes when needed.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and assist in YMCA wellness initiatives.
