The University of Toledo is seeking a Group Fitness Instructor for the Student Rec Center to deliver safe, creative group fitness classes for diverse populations. You will modify for all fitness levels and ensure client safety while representing Recreational Services with a high-quality guest experience.

Responsibilities include class preparation, early arrival, maintaining certifications, mentoring new staff, and participating in trainings and meetings.

Qualifikationen

• Must have current American Red Cross Professional Rescuer level or BLS CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
• Must possess a passion for fitness, a mature attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must work well independently and motivate others to achieve fitness goals.
• Demonstrated skill in quality guest service, communication and organizational/analytical skills.

Aufgaben

• Safely instruct an effective, creative group fitness class for diverse populations with modifications for all levels.
• Represent the Office of Recreational Services via high quality guest experience.
• Enforce building and program policies for Fitness and Wellness areas.
• Respond to emergencies per the Emergency Action Plan.
• Prepare class choreography before shifts and arrive early to set up studio.
• Train and mentor new employees; coordinate substitute for shifts.
• Attend trainings and department-wide meetings; participate in Fall Leadership and Training Week.
