The position requires CPR/AED and First Aid certifications, as well as group fitness credentials. You will enforce policies, support emergencies, and participate in department meetings to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are required.
• ACE, AFAA, ACSM certifications are preferred; specialty certifications encouraged.
• Leadership and supervisory abilities are essential.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm are valued.
• Ability to work independently while following program policies.
• Knowledge of standard practices in recreational sports is expected.
• Strong communication skills are important for customer service and team coordination.

Responsibilities

• Safely instruct an effective, creative group fitness class at the Recreation Center.
• Provide quality customer service to all participants in class.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor via phone, email, or in person.
• Enforce program and building policies and procedures; assist during emergencies.
• Attend all group fitness and department staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
