Job summary

Houston Fitness Partners is seeking a Fitness Instructor to lead the Planet Fitness PE@PF group fitness program and design simple workouts. You’ll recruit new and current members to classes and enforce a safe, energetic environment.

Responsibilities include greeting members, answering questions, handling sign-ups and inquiries, and assisting with tours. Expect routine cleaning and sanitizing; you may work at any PF location in the Houston area.

Qualifications

• Superior customer service skills; 6–12 months of fitness instruction experience preferred.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Punctual and dependable with a solid work ethic.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Must be 18+ years old; high school diploma or GED; ability to pass a background check; CPR/AED certification required; Nationally Certified Training Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the Planet Fitness group fitness program PE@PF and design simple workout programs as requested.
• Greet members and guests, assist with questions, check-in, sign-ups, and billing updates.
• Maintain a safe workout environment and monitor participants’ progress.
• Evaluate individuals’ abilities and develop suitable training programs for special needs.
• Perform prospective member calls and tours to assess membership needs.
• Regularly clean and sanitize the club and equipment during the shift.
• Work at any Planet Fitness location within the Houston Fitness Partners franchise.
