Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health in West Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Part-time Group Facilitator to provide therapeutic treatment through scheduled groups and accurate session documentation in our EMR.

You will maintain licensure and comply with California licensing requirements while delivering evidence-based care, collaborating with Clinical/Program Directors, and ensuring timely charting and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a state license or certification (LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, AMFT or CADAC).
• Maintain license/certification in good standing per state law.

Job description

Position Summary

As a Group Facilitator you will have the opportunity provide therapeutic treatment, with an emphasis on evidence-based drug and alcohol treatment methods. You will do this through facilitating scheduled groups and documenting the sessions in our EMR. While in this position, you shall maintain all applicable licenses and certification requirements and at-all-times during the term of this Agreement, meet all requirements of the State of California or other regulatory entity for such licensing, certification or credentialing.

Essential Job Functions

• Collaborates with Clinical Director and/or Program Director and other professional staff to help develop comprehensive program of therapy, evaluation and treatment.
• Responsible for delivering appropriate topic to scheduled groups.
• Responsible for completing all group notes immediately after leading each group.
• Document all services provided in clients medical record.
• Knowledge of company's policy and procedures, DSS, DHCS and Joint Commission standards and regulations. Adhere to all regulations and maintain accurate and timely client charting in compliance and according to the clinical guidelines.

Knowledge, Education, & Experience

• Group facilitator must be licensed or certified (LMFT, LCSW, PsyD, AMFT or CADAC) in the state in which they are applying.
• Must maintain license and certification required by state law in good standing.
