Job summary

HealthFitness seeks group fitness instructors to lead early-morning classes (6AM) and fill in as-needed at the Advocate Good Shepherd Club in Barrington, IL. You’ll deliver fun, safe workouts across strength, cardio, HIIT, boot camp and circuit formats to members.

Current ACE/AFAA/NASM/ACSM/NCCA certification plus CPR/AED are required; flu vaccination is expected within 30 days of hire. Compensation ranges by class with flexible scheduling to fit your availability.

Qualifications

• Certification from ACE/AFAA/NASM/ACSM/NCCA required.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Flu vaccination required during Fall season.

Responsibilities

• Teach 1–5 group classes per week, including 6AM morning sessions.
• Deliver fun, effective, and safe workouts (strength, cardio, HIIT, boot camp, circuit).
• Adapt activities to participants of varying fitness levels and needs.

We provide personal and professional support, training and development and flexible employment opportunities.About the roleComplimentary fitness center membership!This is a position teaching approximately 1-5 classes per week, depending on scheduling.We are currently looking for instructors to teach early mornings at 6AM and we are looking for substitute/as-needed instructors to teach flexible hours throughout the week (hours depends on demand and scheduling needs) at the Advocate Good Shepherd Club, managed by HealthFitness in Barrington, IL.In this position you will provide fun, effective, and safe group exercise to members participating in the program such as strength training, cardio, pump, HIIT, boot camp, and circuit.Minimum RequirementsCurrent group exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or other NCCA nationally accredited specialty class certification required.Adult CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire.Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.Flu vaccination required during the Fall season.The compensation range for this role is $24/class -$35/class. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
