Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Group Engineering Manager for the Payments Platform to lead a 40–60 engineer team and 3–5 engineering managers. You will own reliability, evolution, and delivery of Intuit's payments infrastructure across Bill Pay, Merchant Payments, and related services.

You will drive platform migrations, establish engineering rhythms, and partner with Product, Risk, and Compliance to meet regulatory demands while delivering value at scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with leadership.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale payments platforms in production.
• Strong technical depth in distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience owning delivery against business KPIs and cross-functional partner work.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of the Payments Platform roadmap across Bill Pay, Merchant Payments, Gateway, and PPF core infrastructure.
• Drive quarterly sprint execution across multiple sub-teams, maintaining velocity while reliability and compliance.
• Lead major platform migrations and modernization programs (e.g., payment authorization service migrations, event bus modernization).
• Establish clear operating rhythms: sprint reviews, incident retrospectives, KPI tracking, and cross-team dependency management.
