Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Group Engineering Manager for the Payments Platform to lead a 40–60 engineer team and 3–5 engineering managers. You will own reliability, evolution, and delivery of core payments infrastructure powering QuickBooks, Bill Pay, GoPayment, and Merchant Payments.

This role emphasizes end‑to‑end delivery, platform migrations, and cross‑functional leadership with a focus on architectural direction and compliance (PCI‑DSS/SOX).

Qualifications

• 12+ years software engineering experience with leadership in multi‑team settings.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale payments/fintech platforms.
• Strong depth in distributed systems, real‑time processing, cloud native architectures (AWS).
• Experience owning delivery against business KPIs and cross‑functional partnership.
• Leadership of senior engineering managers and team development.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of the Payments Platform roadmap across multiple product lines.
• Drive quarterly sprint execution, maintain velocity while ensuring reliability and compliance.
• Lead major platform migrations and modernization programs (authorization service migrations, event bus modernization).
• Establish engineering operating rhythms: sprint reviews, incident retrospectives, KPI tracking, cross‑team dependencies.
• Represent Payments Platform in leadership reviews and cross‑functional forums.
