Job summary
Walmart is seeking a Group Director to define, build, and scale AI-powered content and media experiences across Walmart’s digital shopping platforms. You will own a portfolio of initiatives transforming shopping through AI, immersive tech, and scalable engineering systems at enterprise scale.
The role leads a global, multi-pillar engineering org, mentors senior leaders, and partners with product, design, and data teams to deliver customer-first innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 8 years’ software engineering or related experience.
- 10 years’ software engineering experience, plus 5 years in supervisory roles.
Responsibilities
- Establish and drive multi-year technical roadmap for AI-driven, rich-media content experiences.
- Lead enterprise-level technology investments and influence executive priorities.
- Architect and maintain global, high-performance full-stack platforms.
- Collaborate with business, product, design and data teams to translate priorities into scalable solutions.
- Partner with AI research teams to productionize advanced models.
- Champion generative AI, agentic systems, and computer vision across experiences.
- Direct and develop senior engineering leaders, fostering accountability and innovation.
