Job summary

Heffernan Insurance Brokers is seeking an Account Manager in San Francisco to manage a book of group benefits clients (50+ lives) and coordinate renewal marketing, program structure, and benefit analyses. You will ensure accurate enrollment, educate clients on coverages, and maintain benefits systems.

The role requires a CA Life & Disability license, strong MS Office skills, and 3+ years in group health insurance or benefits brokerage.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3 years of group health insurance or broker/consulting experience.

Responsibilities

Marketing and account management for assigned clients.
Coordinate renewal marketing with client and provide program structure, review and analysis.
Provide technical competence in coverage and current markets.
Prepare written annual account service plans.
Conduct open enrollment meetings, health fairs, and webinars.
Audit client information, premium, and commissions in the system for assigned accounts.
Educate and clarify coverage forms to clients.
Assist in spreading marketing results, including benefit comparisons.
Maintain Benefits Administration systems for assigned accounts.
Assist with group applications and termination notices.
Document thoroughly on each account and follow E&O procedures.
Handle complex accounts.
Other duties as assigned.
