Job summary

XKIG is seeking a Groundsperson to support field crews by performing ground-based tasks such as clearing brush, loading debris, and assisting with site clean-up. The role requires outdoor work, physical stamina, and adherence to safety rules.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license for driving duties, and the ability to travel for storm restoration work. A background check and drug screen are required, with safety PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license required for driving position.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• First-aid certification and CPR required.
• Able to wear PPE as required.
• Must be able to travel for storm restoration work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules.
• Keep work area clear of debris.
• Clear undergrowth from right-of-way using handsaws, pole saws, pruners and chainsaws.
• Load/unload trucks with logs, brush and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect workers and the public.
• Operate trucks or equipment as assigned; perform basic maintenance.
• Perform general clean-up of job sites after completion.
