Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Tennessee is seeking a full-time Groundsperson to support vegetation management and storm restoration operations. You will work from ground level to clear debris and assist with loading, cutting, and operating trucks and equipment, following safety rules and performing setup and breakdown tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
• Pass background check and drug screen; meet I-9 requirements; E-Verify involved.

Responsibilities

• Work from ground to keep area clear of debris using saws, pruners, and equipment.
• Define staging areas and set up/break down material and tools.
• Feed brush into woodchipper; load/unload logs, brush, and debris.
• Operate trucks and equipment; perform basic maintenance; report major repairs.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards; flag traffic as needed.
• Work long hours and overtime during emergencies.
