Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Georgia is seeking a Groundsperson to support the crew by performing ground-based tasks such as clearing brush and preparing sites. A valid driver’s license may be required and travel is involved.

Responsibilities include following safety practices, loading materials, operating hand tools and small machinery, and assisting with storm restoration work as needed. This role requires physical endurance and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drag heavy limbs and operate pruners in uneven terrain.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to hear verbal instructions and follow safety rules.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety practices and keep work area clear of debris.
• Work from ground to clear undergrowth and assist with brush/tree removal.
• Load/unload trucks with logs and debris; feed brush into chipper.
• Set up and break down road signs; flag traffic to protect crew and public.
