Job description

This is a Full Time (1.0 FTE) leave cover from July 2024 to December 2024, at our Berwick campus.

Candidates must undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Check prior to commencement at Haileybury.

Responsibilities

The Groundsperson oversees maintenance of the School's outdoor areas, encompassing lawns, gardens, sports facilities, and playgrounds, while also managing irrigation systems and ensuring adherence to safety standards, crucial for maintaining safe, appealing, and operational grounds for students and staff.

This role works from Tuesday to Saturday during school terms, and from Monday to Friday during school breaks.

Main Responsibilities include:

• Turf, Garden and Irrigation Maintenance
• Sports Field Preparation and supporting Haileybury’s sports program
• Assist the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor with appropriate Maintenance requests
• Providing support for functions portering activities as required
• Responsible for ensuring that all activities under their control are conducted in a legal and ethical manner, consistent with Haileybury standards, policy and procedure.
• Other duties as required.
