This position performs ground-level support, assists linemen with tools and materials, prepares jobsites, operates equipment as qualified, and helps maintain a safe and organized work area. The Groundsman must follow all company and industry safety requirements and be prepared to travel and assist with storm restoration as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Equi-Potential Grounding training.
• Buck Squeeze Safety System training.

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Work may involve climbing poles, using aerial lifts, and working around energized electrical distribution systems.
• Must be available for callouts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
• Travel may be required for regular assignments, storm restoration, and mutual aid.

Physical Requirements

• Must have the strength, balance, coordination, and stamina required for physically demanding electrical utility work.
• Frequently push, pull, carry, and handle heavy tools, cables, materials, and equipment.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 80 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to lift heavier materials with assistance.
• Must be comfortable working at heights and maintaining balance while climbing or working from elevated positions.
