Job summary

CAS is seeking a Groundskeeper Technician for our Columbus, Ohio headquarters. The role covers grounds maintenance, irrigation and equipment operation, seasonal planting, and winter snow removal with on-call duties.

Candidates should have 2+ years of landscaping experience, valid Ohio license, pesticide/ forklift eligibility, and proficiency with MS Office. The position requires on-site work and collaboration with contractors and internal teams to support events and safety operations across CAS

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct landscaping and/or facilities experience.
• Commercial mowing experience required.
• Experience in snowplow operation and snow removal required.
• Experience operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and heavy machinery preferred.
• Knowledge of basic landscape design and plant/tree maintenance preferred.
• Experience operating and maintaining irrigation systems preferred.
• Pesticide certification or license preferred.
• Forklift Operator certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Valid State of Ohio driver’s license.
• Demonstrated experience with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, roadways, sidewalks, and parking areas.
• Performs maintenance of irrigation, pumping stations, and fountain operations.
• Planting and transplanting trees, flowers, and bushes; watering and mulching as needed.
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers per directions; maintain certifications.
• Participates in snow removal operations; on-call 24/7 during winter months.
• Maintains and repairs grounds equipment and vehicles.
• Supports setup for CAS meetings and events.
• Collaborates with 3rd party contractors during summer months.
• Ensures safety and compliance during building emergencies.
