Description

The Depot Hotel Complex is hiring for a part-time, seasonal Groundskeeper for the summer 2025 season. Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the overall condition and cleanliness of the hotel complex’s exterior grounds and other common areas, with a primary focus on care and upkeep to the grounds’ plants, shrubs, trees, and flowers. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Water and maintain plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers.
  • Complete routine exterior cleaning, sweeping, picking up trash, and emptying trash bins.
  • Identify and report items in common areas and grounds that need repair/attention.
  • Complete light maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Responsible for the proper use and safeguarding of all maintenance equipment, tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and respond to guests in a friendly, positive, and timely manner.
  • Operate all equipment following safe and proper procedures.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment.
  • Produce required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties.
  • Adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures.

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Prior groundskeeping experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, customer-focused, and the ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current and valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel and exterior grounds (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.
