Summary of Job Duties: The Groundskeeper II plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional qualityof campus grounds. This position involves a wide range of landscaping and maintenance duties, including mowing, trimming, planting, debris removal, and snow and ice management during inclement weather. The Groundskeeper II is also responsible for operating and maintaining various landscaping equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and providing excellent customer service to the campus community.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field

  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of basic groundskeeping, landscaping equipment

  • Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance

  • Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive manual work

  • Ability to work independently without close supervision

  • Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks andto prioritize assignments

  • Ability to perform repetitive manual work

  • Ability to do required lifting (up to 50 lbs)

  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products such as email, spreadsheet

Minimum Salary Range: $33,000 - $36,300; Commensurate with education and experience
