K&A Appliance in seeking an experienced Groundskeeper to work full-time in locations within Lancaster county, mostly in Conestoga, PA.

Main Responsibilities

• Mowing large scale grounds - Operating commercial-grade mowing equipment to maintain expansive grassy areas, requiring proficiency in handling zero-turn mowers, riding mowers, and other heavy-duty lawn care machinery while adhering to precise mowing patterns and ensuring a consistent, aesthetically pleasing finish across large areas.
• Tree trimming - Responsible for pruning and trimming trees including removing dead or diseased branches, shaping trees for aesthetic appeal, and maintaining overall tree health by following proper pruning techniques, often using hand tools like loppers, saws, and climbing equipment to access higher branches, while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times; this role may also involve clearing debris and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area.
• Other Landscaping – Responsible for all matters of landscaping & grounds upkeep mainly for property in Conestoga, but also other properties in Lancaster County on occasion.

Other Possible Responsibilities

• Stable work - Daily care of horses in a stable, including feeding, grooming, exercising, cleaning stalls, monitoring their health, and ensuring their overall well-being, an understanding of horse behavior and basic veterinary care practices would be beneficial. Goats will also be monitored & cared for.
• Pool Maintenance - Cleaning & treating a residential in-ground pool
• Miscellaneous warehouse work – You will be asked to do some work at warehouse locations in Lancaster, Exton and/or New Holland that may involve moving appliances as well as other warehouse duties

Schedule

• 8 – 10 hour a day
• To be scheduled to start between 7am and 9am
• Working mostly Monday through Friday

Pay Rate

• $18.00 to $20.00 per hour (Based on experience)
