Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience with small tools preferred.
• 17+ years old with landscaping studies or any equivalent education/experience acceptable.
• Experience or training in general landscaping and safety practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks of County grounds and recreation facilities.
• Provide grounds maintenance such as mowing, litter control, weed eating, seeding and edging.
• Prepare facilities and equipment for recreational use (dragging, marking, lining fields).
• Set up and clean up for events; perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in athletic field preparation and maintenance during peak seasons.
• May perform repairs and duties related to grounds maintenance, including tree work and fertilizing.
