Job summary

Carroll County Government is seeking a Maintenance Worker for the Sports Complex and Community Parks. This year‑round, part‑time role (14 hours/week) focuses on field prep, grounds maintenance, and safe, welcoming grounds for park users.

You will assist with weekend tournaments, perform cleaning and minor repairs, and help manage park operations while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Up to one year of related experience preferred.
• Comparable education/experience may substitute minimum requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscaping and cleaning duties to maintain fields and lawns, bathrooms, and trash.
• Operate and maintain park grounds equipment.
• Keep accurate records of park use and ensure safe conduct by users.
• Patrol the park regularly and report illegal activity or vandalism.
• Assist in crowd control and traffic regulation and support emergency response.
• Prepare fields and park for tournaments and user groups.
• Complete assigned tasks timely and accept feedback.
