Job summary

Sun Communities in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain and beautify our community grounds. You will mow, weed, plant flowers, inspect irrigation, and help ensure resident areas are clean and welcoming.

This full-time outdoor role requires stamina for varying weather, a valid driver's license, basic computer use, and the ability to lift 25 lbs. On-call duties and safety compliance are part of the job, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months in Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general grounds maintenance techniques required or preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to endure outdoor temperatures and work outside.
• Ability to work on-call and outside normal business hours.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community appearance per curb appeal standards.
• Mow lawns, weed, plant flowers and shrubs, rake leaves, mulch grounds.
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems as needed.
• Operate vehicles safely and follow safety procedures.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Assist with pool maintenance if applicable and handle special projects.
