Sun Communities in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and assist with snow removal where applicable. Duties include mowing, weeding, planting, and debris removal to keep the community visually appealing, while delivering courteous resident service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and knowledge of general grounds maintenance. Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures and be available for on-call hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6 months in groundskeeping experience preferred.
• 6 months in general grounds maintenance techniques required.
• Must be able to endure outdoor temperature fluctuations.
• Must be able to respond to business needs after normal hours.
• Ability to work on-call schedule and use basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community grounds to Sun's curb appeal standards.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Collect trash from common areas daily and empty bins as needed.
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems as needed.
• Maintain lawns, plant flowers, spread mulch, trim shrubs and hedges.
• Support pool maintenance by testing chemical levels if applicable.
• Follow safety procedures and report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
