Job summary

American Campus Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper in Austin, TX to maintain the property's interiors and exteriors, including common areas and amenities, ensuring curb appeal and safety. You will support the service team with cleaning, turnover, and make-ready tasks, while upholding ACC's standards of care for residents and facilities.

Ideal candidates are reliable, detail-oriented, able to follow multi-step instructions and learn general labor and maintenance duties.

Qualifications

• Reliable and detail-oriented individual with experience in or willingness to learn general labor and property maintenance.
• Ability to follow multi-step instructions and maintain safety practices.
• Prior facilities maintenance or housekeeping experience is helpful but not required.
• Commitment to inclusion, diversity, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Clean the interior and exterior of the property to standard.
• Groundskeeping and trash collection.
• Vacuuming, mopping and shampooing floors in resident rooms and common areas.
• Assist service team with work orders, moving furniture, and supplies.
• Support make-ready duties and property turnover.
• Assist with pool maintenance (if applicable) and pressure washing.
• Safely operate all facility equipment per safety protocols.
• Maintain clean and orderly shops, storage areas and back-of-house areas.
• Other duties as assigned.
