Job summary

General Shale's Red River Brick division seeks a dependable janitorial teammate to maintain cleanliness around the plant. You will clean equipment, restrooms, break rooms, and floors, and help keep walkways clear for safe operations.

No heavy experience required; a high school diploma or GED is enough. Reliable, detail-oriented individuals who can work independently in a manufacturing setting are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior janitorial or groundskeeping experience is a plus, but not required.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical work (lifting, walking, bending, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Clean cement mixer and block machine/press at end of shift
• Remove built-up concrete and debris from equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of plant grounds, including picking up trash and debris
• Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and office areas
• Sweep, mop, and wash floors in plant and common areas
• Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed
• Keep walkways and work areas clear and safe
• Support the team with general housekeeping throughout the plant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean cement mixer and block machine/press at the end of shift

Remove built-up concrete and debris from equipment

• Maintain cleanliness of plant grounds, including picking up trash and debris

Clean and maintain restrooms, break rooms, and office areas

Sweep, mop, and wash floors in plant and common areas

Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly

Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed

Keep walkways and work areas clear and safe

Support the team with general housekeeping throughout the plant

EDUCATION:

• High School diploma or GED required

EXPERIENCE:

• Prior janitorial or groundskeeping experience is a plus, but not required

Reliable and able to work independently

Strong attention to detail

Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment

Ability to perform physical work (lifting, walking, bending, etc.)

SKILLS REQUIRED:
