Job summary

General Shale is seeking a Sand Mix Operator at its Mineral Wells, TX location to prepare and mix brick coating materials according to recipes, manage material inventory, and operate production equipment. This role supports production goals in a safety‑focused environment.

You will apply accurate measurements, maintain records, and perform duties with a team, while adhering to Lockout/Tagout and safety policies. Forklift experience is a plus with training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Basic math skills with the ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Dependable with a strong attendance record.
• Ability to adapt to changing work conditions, including heat and cold.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to pass a fit test and wear a respirator.
• Forklift experience preferred or willingness to become certified.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

• Assist with inventory counts and material tracking.
• Cross-train in other department positions as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Support plant safety initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Sand Mix Operator is responsible for preparing and mixing brick coating materials according to established recipes, maintaining material inventory, operating equipment, and supporting production goals.
