Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Groundskeeper II to help keep campus safe, clean, attractive, and well-maintained. You will perform lawn care, planting bed maintenance, fertilization, mowing, edging, and apply insecticides as needed, plus snow removal and related tasks.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of grounds maintenance experience, and a valid Ohio pesticide applicator license.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math to calculate area, volume, ratios, and application rates.
• Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to plan, layout, and select appropriate tools and perform groundskeeping tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, plant beds, weed control, fertilization, mowing, trimming, and edging.
• Apply insecticides to lawns, shrubs, and trees as required.
• Perform snow and ice removal and general grounds labor.
