Job summary

The Groundskeeper II position at the University of Louisville will maintain lawns and landscape across Belknap Campus, including mowing, seeding, mulching, and trimming. This is a required personnel role with potential night or weekend shifts and a pre-employment physical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus two years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Pre-employment physical exam required.
• Valid driver's license and insurability by University insurance carrier.
• Kentucky applicator's license to handle pesticides.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns including planting, trimming, mowing, seeding, fertilizing the grounds.
• Care for trees, shrubs, and landscape beds; apply mulch and perform pruning.
• Operates and maintains commercial mowing/landscaping equipment; conducts safety checks.
• Responds to emergencies; may work nights, weekends, holidays, or during winter breaks.
