Job summary

The University of Louisville Golf Course is seeking a Groundskeeper to perform maintenance using mowers, tractors, loaders, trenchers, backhoes, and other equipment under the supervision of the Senior Assistant Superintendent.

The role includes mowing, operating turf care equipment, basic preventive maintenance, course setup, and light clubhouse upkeep, with occasional night/weekend shifts and varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Kentucky applicator's license to handle pesticides.
• Valid driver's license and insurable.
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May work nights, weekends, holidays or during winter breaks in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Mows fairways, roughs, greens, and tees.
• Operates turf equipment (vac trucks/vac), aerifiers, sprayers, and other machinery.
• Maintains equipment and reports issues to the Equipment Mechanic or Superintendent.
• Performs basic clubhouse maintenance (painting, lighting, power washing).
• Assists with course setup and routine maintenance of gasoline/diesel powered equipment.
