Job description

We are hiring immediately for full-time GROUNDSKEEPER positions.

Location: Greencastle Community Schools - 1002 Mill Pond Lane, Greencastle, IN 46135. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: No prior experience required.

Pay Range: $16.50 to $17.00 per hour

Job Summary

Plans and administers a program of grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and propagation through plants and cuttings. Responsible for tasks related to the care of grasses and plants, trimming, pruning, and removing shrubs, bushes, and trees. Performs janitorial duties, property inspections, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Inspects common areas and reports deficiencies.
• Inspects exterior of the property and grounds.
• Mows lawns weekly during the proper season; cleans tools and equipment.
• Trims bushes and maintains neat appearance.
• Weeds flowerbeds regularly.
• Shovels walkways and salts or sands icy areas in winter.
• Contributes to the team, exhibits professionalism, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license required.
