Job summary

Cottonwood Residential is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain Steepleway Downs Apartments in Northwest Houston, TX. The role covers grounds cleanup, basic maintenance, and assisting with facility upkeep.

You will be on-call during nights and weekends, able to walk and stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and communicate in English with residents and teammates. We offer full benefits, a 401(k) match, paid time off, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English to communicate with customers and interpret safety and operating manuals.
• Available to work on-call during nights and weekends and Company events.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to walk and stand for long periods.
• Able to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate elevation changes.
• Able to navigate difficult terrain and access small areas.

Responsibilities

• Removing trash and litter from the property grounds.
• Sweeping and pressure washing pathways and buildings.
• Basic gardening and weeding.
• Wiping down and cleaning windows and common furniture.
• Completing general maintenance tasks related to household, building, and grounds repairs.
