Job Summary Details:

The Groundskeeper maintains property grounds by overseeing a team of groundskeepers performing routine landscaping tasks and performs technical and mechanical repairs and installations related to standard landscaping procedures. This job requires travel.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid Driver’s license
• One (1) year of similar experience required
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee day-to-day site operations and delegate work to crew members
2. Maintain a work schedule, and ensure service expectations are met
3. Report crew labor time
4. Conduct training and development of team members
5. Provide updates regarding crew performance to leaders
6. Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency
7. Maintain property grounds
8. Ensure proper maintenance of equipment such as mowers, blowers, and sprinkler systems
9. Perform removal, installation, and maintenance of plant material in beds and containers, and manual weeding
10. Perform landscape maintenance duties including leaf removal, pruning, fertilizing, lawn care, and watering
11. Assist in tree relocation
12. Remove litter and empty trash cans
13. Clean roads, parking lots, and walkways to ensure safety
14. Perform basic carpentry and painting tasks
15. Remove ice and snow from walks, roads, and lots, including applying ice melt and sand
16. Establish new plants and plantings in landscapes and greenhouses
17. Use manual and automatic watering systems for plant care
18. Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on equipment
19. Maintain safe work areas during and after projects
20. Clean spills, including body fluids as needed
