Job summary

Troon Golf, LLC's El Conquistador Golf Club in Oro Valley, AZ is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and grounds around the golf course, contributing to a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include mowing, irrigation, soil prep, seeding, fertilizing, and applying pesticides as needed, with opportunities to grow knowledge of golf course operations within a global golf management group.

Qualifications

• Ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred.
• Ability to create spray programs for greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping.
• Ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.
• Ability to give oral and written instructions.
• Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and ground preparation for restoration and renovation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager.

Summary

The Groundskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.

• Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course
