Job summary

Victory Junction, Inc. is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain and repair camp facilities, grounds, and equipment on-site in the United States. You will cut lawns, landscape, apply pesticides and fertilizers, and perform routine preventative maintenance.

The role requires basic maintenance experience, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety standards. Candidates should be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and capable of handling seasonal snow and outdoor

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred
• Experience in construction, maintenance, OSHA safety standards, and grounds keeping
• Demonstrated proficiency in preventative maintenance techniques
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and competency

Responsibilities

• Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties
• Cut lawn using hand, power or zero turn riding mower and trim around walks, flower beds, and walls
• Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes
• Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitoes, wasp, ticks, and others
• Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth
• Shovel snow from walkways and sprinkle ice down to keep people from falling
• Below walkway of debris. Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger or safety hazard
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
• Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed
• Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer

Victory Junction is a year-round camp facility that provides fully accessible on-site and off-site programming for children with complex medical conditions at no cost to their families. The Groundskeeper provides upkeep and maintenance of buildings, vehicles, grounds and equipment.
