Victory Junction, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe facilities across the camp environment. The role includes cleaning rooms, hallways, restrooms and common areas, performing laundry tasks, and stocking supplies to meet health standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work with different personnel.
• Good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and other areas to health standards.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstery, and perform laundry duties as needed.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
• Stock and supply rooms with cleaning products and linens.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and maintain tidy camper cabins and housing areas.
• Observe safety precautions and report damages or theft to supervisors.
• Contribute to a positive, professional culture and foster DEI.

Description

Victory Junction is a year-round camp facility that provides fully accessible on-site and off-site programming for children with complex medical conditions at no cost to their families. Victory Junction's adaptive, intentional programming includes summer camp, family weekends, day programs, equine therapy, pediatric patient outreach, and partner programs. By removing all barriers, Victory Junction welcomes children with serious illnesses and chronic medical conditions to experience camp fun, all a in medically safe environment. Victory Junction is a member of SeriousFun Children's Network and is accredited by the American Camp Association.

The Housekeeper provides upkeep and cleaning of buildings so that health standards are met.

• Ensures Victory Junction rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas are cleaned so that health standards are met
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers
• Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas
• Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts
• Performs all laundry duties after family weekends and summer camp weeks
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment
• Keep camper cabins, housing areas, storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
• Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
• Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary
• Request repair services as needed
• Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers
• Observe precautions required to protect Victory Junction, and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors
• Prepare rooms for meetings
• Be an active team player and contribute/promote a positive, professional culture for all
• Foster a culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
• Any other duties assigned
