Castle Hot Springs in Morristown, AZ seeks four full-time, temporary Groundskeepers to maintain resort grounds using hand and power tools. Responsibilities include sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, weeding and raking. They will also remove debris and manage trash, reporting to the Director of Property Operations.

Three months of experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club is required. On-the-job training is provided; travel is not required.

Job description

CHS3, LLC d/b/a Castle Hot Springs, located in Morristown, AZ, seeks four (4) full-time, temporary Groundskeepers who will be responsible for maintaining resort grounds using hand and power tools and equipment.

Will perform any combination of the following:

• sod laying
• mowing
• trimming
• planting
• watering
• fertilizing
• digging
• weeding
• and raking

Will also be responsible for walking the grounds and ensuring that no garbage, stray branches, leaves, or other debris is littering the grounds using trash grabber tools, rakes, shovels, electric blowers, or gloved hands to pick up and remove the items and place them in a trash receptacle. Groundskeepers will also be responsible for emptying the various trash cans in public areas by removing full trash bags, replacing with new trash bags, and taking the full trash bag to the dumpster.

Will report directly to the Director of Property Operations at Castle Hot Springs.

Three (3) months of experience maintaining grounds at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club required.

Travel is not required. Daily transportation to and from worksite is not provided. On-the-job training is provided.

Wage: $19.95 - $25.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Gratuity-eligible position, so actual wage with tips may occasionally be higher. Overtime is available at $29.93 - $37.50 per hour.

Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 6:00am to 1:00pm, 8:00am to 3:00pm, or 10:00am to 5:00pm. Shift hours may vary. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due.

Optional housing (including utilities) is offered on a first-come, first-served basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment at no cost to employee.

Additional, optional benefits are offered to worker, for workers sole benefit, including, but not limited to health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) (after six (6) months of employment), and short-term disability. If voluntarily elected by worker, costs/contributions will be deducted from paycheck.

One free meal is provided per shift.

All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made.

If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer.

The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek.

The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.

The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.

The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.

H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all isa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).
