General Purpose:

The Grounds Keeper safely and efficiently maintains, improves, and repairs the hotel grounds to ensure a pleasant guest experience.

Essential Functions:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweep and dispose of dirt, debris, and cigarette butts from hotel walkways.
• Wash down exterior walkways and walls as needed.
• Maintain the parking lot by removing dirt and leaves and operating vacuum equipment.
• Remove cobwebs, bird nests, and clean stairwells and railings.
• Mow grass, fertilize, weed, edge mulch beds, and care for plants and trees.
• Water plants in summer, turn over and replace mulch bi-annually.
• Follow safety labels on chemicals, understand equipment use, and operate machinery safely.

Experience / Education:

Experience in landscaping, with knowledge of plants, shrubs, and general maintenance.
